Interesting, I laughed, I could have cried, I am interested in more. You don't write enough, I really enjoy your writings. I also noticed your comment on Lisa's blog of food. Sounds like a good dish.

First, sorry for the late reply, been away from the blog for far too long. Second, thanks for commenting. It's nice to know I'm being read, and in return, I promise to check out your blog.

Third, an answer in response to questions. It hit me when watching Angela Petrelli, especially how she is with her sons. I have loved Arrested Development since its inception, and as such, those characters resonate with me every day of my life, so about mid-way though my week-long Heroes marathon, it struck me how much Angela and Lucille had in common, and as I went though the series a second time (just to see how it lessened in quality from one season to the next, sadly) I began to see correlations between the rest of the characters and AD characters. Finding some of those pictures were absolute godsends.

I'll admit, the last three were more for fun than to be taken seriously. I really wanted to include Steve Holt! and Barry Zuckercorn somehow. I'm still a little sad that I couldn't work Bob Loblaw in somewhere.

Comment on American Apparel – A Study in Life Without Organs by jane doe

Woody Allen sued American Apparel last year for $10 million, claiming the company had used unauthorized images on two billboards last year. According to the AP, American Apparel responded by claiming Allen had already ruined his image himself through his contentious sex life. More:

Allen, who does not endorse products in the United States, said he had not authorized the displays, which the Los Angeles-based company said were up for only a week. Allen’s lawsuit said the billboard falsely implied that Allen sponsored, endorsed or was associated with American Apparel.

Now the company plans to make Allen’s relationships to actress Mia Farrow and her adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn the focus of a trial scheduled to begin in federal court in Manhattan on May 18, according to the company’s lawyer, Stuart Slotnick.

“Woody Allen expects $10 million for use of his image on billboards that were up and down in less than one week. I think Woody Allen overestimates the value of his image,” Slotnick said. Slotnick said it was not a cheap shot to bring up Allen’s sex life in a lawsuit over the billboard and Internet ads.

Not a cheap shot? The fact is that American Apparel put a billboard up without asking for permission. The company valued Allen’s image enough to want it on a billboard in the first place.

Claiming Allen sullied his own reputation prior to the ads being put up, and therefore doesn’t deserve compensation, is the ultimate cheap shot. The tactic is probably to aggravate Allen into a settlement. The message I take away is that American Apparel plays dirty. Doesn’t make me want to buy their clothes, that’s for sure.

If and when you return to Vancouver, I promise you a parade in your honor, a full page ad in the Georgia Straight, and a fireworks show. Also, make your own sundae bar. And a dancing elephant. And a Jason Statham Marathon at the local cineplex.

Well Love, it sounds like another step in the long road of life. If you are hanging things on walls it is a sign of considering permanency, I am glad you hung the Rose Wreath, how about the Light house, is it hung up too?

I am sorting bookshelves. I want mom to go through the ones in the TV room and say to herself: Self, will we ever read this book again? or is it just kept for sentimental purposes? Next Monday she has a Dr. appointment in the city and we could bring a huge box of books to the 2nd hand store. That means we can get different ones! There was a sale in Saskatoon for the Symphony all week, I wanted to go on Wed. We didn't go till Friday, by then I could only find one book a wanted. Frustrartion.
